Salim Dharssi

Managemate

Salim Dharssi is the CEO and Founder of managemate, a software company helping condominium boards and managers get organized and collaborate online, to save time and get more value for their condo fees. Salim earned a degree in computer engineering from the University of Waterloo before becoming a lawyer. Before starting managemate, Salim practiced intellectual property and technology law for over 10 years, advising software and professional services companies. Salim began working in the condo industry in 2015 after he became a director on his condo's board. He quickly learned that boards and managers have immense responsibilities, including maintenance, improvements, community and financial management. Understanding that boards and managers relied on emails, file folders and spreadsheets to organize their records and share work status updates, Salim set out to create modern tools to help boards and managers work together more efficiently. His vision is to improve the quality and affordability of condominium living. Salim continues to volunteer on his condo board, and he also volunteers with CCI Toronto's Education Committee, where he works with and learns from leaders in the industry.
