Deborah is a partner at Shibley Righton LLP and is member of the Condominium Law Group.  She is fluently bilingual in English and French, having completed her primary education solely in French in Quebec.

Her practice at Shibley Righton involves all aspects of condominium law issues, with some special focus on civil litigation, employment, occupational health and safety, human rights, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.  Deborah is a certified workplace investigator respecting harassment issues through the Human Resources Professionals Association.

Deborah has successfully represented clients at mediation, arbitration, administrative tribunals (including the Condominium Authority Tribunal and Human Rights Tribunal), and at various levels of court in Ontario.  She is a member of CCI, the Advocates’ Society, the Metropolitan Toronto Lawyers’ Association, Canadian Bar Association, the Human Resources Professionals Association.  Deborah sits on the Toronto Legislative Committee for CCI.

Deborah is actively involved in the condominium community and has written several articles for newspapers and industry magazines on condominium law topics.  She has taught condominium law to directors.  She is also a past President of the Board of Directors of Sancta Maria House, a residential home in Toronto for at-risk young women.
